As reported by ABC 13 on Wednesday, C.E. Barrick Elementary School Principal Yolanda Garrido began to ask Castorena-Narvaez about the whereabouts of school funds when vendors began reaching out saying they had not been paid for jobs. Garrido told investigators she discovered cash received from fundraisers had not been deposited, according to ABC 13. A HISD secretary is suspected of starting a fire to get out a meeting about missing cash from the school's ban account.

HISD will be CLOSED from December 19 through January 2 for the Winter Holiday Break. Employees will return on January 3 & Students will return January 5.

HISD text messaging is a quick, efficient way to alert parents, students, and staff to emergency situations and keep them updated with important news and information they need to know. Teachers and staff will return Thursday, Jan. 5, and students will be back in class on Monday, Jan. 9. We also use different external services like Google Webfonts, Google Maps, and external Video providers. Since these providers may collect personal data like your IP address we allow you to block them here. Please be aware that this might heavily reduce the functionality and appearance of our site. Certain campuses are eligible to participate in the Community Eligibility Provision . The CEP is a federally funded option that allows all students to eat breakfast and lunch during the school day for free. On Oct. 10, the day Castorena-Narvaez was set to return to work, the fire occurred at the elementary school. Investigators later found that Castorena-Narvaez was one of few people in the vicinity of the fire when it broke out. Garrido told investigators she believes the suspect is tied to the missing cash and the fire.
The Texas Education Agency is required by law to create policies to ensure the security and confidentiality of these exams. As a district, it is our responsibility to make sure that we have procedures in place to comply with these policies. One of these requirements is that districts must ensure that students do not have access to electronics during testing. The University Interscholastic League released updated COVID-19 risk mitigation guidelines that took effect August 1, 2020. Performance Reporting compiles data to develop and report meaningful accountability ratings to help Texas public schools meet the educational needs of all students.

Adriana Castorena-Narvaez is suspected of starting a fire to get out of a meeting about missing cash from the school's bank account. This video series is designed to help students and parents learn more about what Personalized Student Success means to us in Humble ISD. Run the Distance for Kylieinaugural event will begin at 8 a.m. On Saturday, January 7, at Generation Park in Humble, and will consist of a 3.90 mile race (to commemorate Kylie’s final run which was 3.90 miles long) and a 1K race. The Kylie Pope Scholarship Foundation and this year's event were created to continue Kylie's legacy, and will benefit graduating students in track or cross country at SCHS and AHS. HISD 2021 Bond Update
We place a very high priority on ensuring that our students and patrons can be safe while attending and enjoying these events. Hallsville ISD has grown substantially over the past 10 years. In order to continue to thrive it is time for Hallsville ISD to expand to meet the needs of our students and community.

This meeting is open to all facilities with a non-profit license designation. In an effort to make Hallsville ISD athletic events more enjoyable and safer for all spectators, we are posting policy information and UIL rules of conduct. The Elementary and Secondary Education Act , as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act , requires each State education agency to prepare and publish an annual report card with state-, district- and campus-level data. Contact your district with any questions, your school nutrition department is excited to serve you and your student.
Parents, the Spring 2022 STAAR End-Of-Course assessment scores are now available online. After a tremendous amount of hard work, planning and communication effort, we are very excited about the bond proposal passing and the future of HISD. HISD will instill a desire for ethical behavior, integrity and good citizenship in all students.

Hallettsville ISD will take steps to assure that lack of English language skills will not be a barrier to admission and participation in all educational and vocational programs. Schools will transition back to requiring family applications for free and reduced-price meals to meet USDA requirements.
